Overhead Crane (OHC) Operator Training

(Pendant and Remote Controlled – includes slinging and lifting)

What is it?

A course where overhead crane operators, either first-time or experienced users, can learn or refresh their knowledge and skills and reduce the likelihood of errors and accidents.

This training allows operators to practice in a safe environment, to use the equipment safely and efficiently.

At ULTS – our courses are designed to enable your business to comply with current health & safety legislation.

Our instructors are AiTT qualified with years of hands-on and industry experience.

Novice Operator

(2 Days)

These courses are designed for those candidates who have little or no experience operating an overhead crane

Experienced Operator

(1 Day)

Designed for those operators with previous experience of operating an overhead crane and require formal training and testing.

Refresher Courses

(1 Day)

Designed for operators who have received formal training, testing and certification, but require a refresher course and official re-assessment.

Who is it for?

Inexperienced and experienced operators.

A novice operator, who has never operated this type of equipment before, should take the 2-
day novice course and an experienced operator with no certification (must be able to prove
6 months as a user) or refresh their skills on either of the 1 day courses available. One
for the non-formally certified, the other for those with an existing training and operator
certification. 

Course provision

We can provide training at a chosen venue or on-site at your business premises. When training on-site at your work premises, this allows your staff to use their own equipment in their everyday environment.
